The one and only boys who will burn higher with dazzling flames to awaken you, THE BOYZ, will release their ninth mini album [Fuse] on October 28.
Through the three-part series of their previous second full-length album [PHANTASY], THE BOYZ proved their potential by firmly imprinting their unique team identity of "boys" with their own distinct color, based on the overarching theme that "everyone dreams of fantasy." They conveyed various keywords of "fantasy"—such as excitement, mystery, and emotion—and demonstrated their prowess by breaking "career high" records with diverse music and performances. At the same time, they held their third world tour, "THE BOYZ WORLD TOUR : ZENERATION Ⅱ," selling out every seat for every show and perfectly proving their presence.
Having maintained a steep upward trajectory by achieving remarkable results on the global stage—from diverse album activities that swept domestic and global charts to world tours—THE BOYZ intends to aggressively continue this momentum with their 9th mini-album [導火線].
The ninth mini album, [Trigger], captures The Boyz's explosive confidence and aspirations to continue developing by igniting a fuse for a new leap forward. Filled with The Boyz's signature conceptual music and performances, as well as new stories and unrivaled colors distinct from their past charms, [Trigger] is sufficient to serve as a 'fuse' for growth that proves their infinite potential. The title track of the 9th mini album, 'TRIGGER,' is a song distinguished by its
dramatic
progression from an intense house electro-pop sound to a grand hip-hop sound. Using 'TRIGGER,' which means 'fuse' or 'catalyst,' as a keyword, the album embodies the ambition to create a significant ripple effect and change in the world through their actions. In addition, through the music video for 'TRIGGER (導火線)', they showcase a perfect synergy of rough and explosive visuals and extreme performance, delivering an intense sense of immersion and a unique catharsis that keeps viewers captivated every moment.
Furthermore, the album includes 'Bite Back', an Afrobeat hip-hop track that was first unveiled during the 'Generation II' world tour and received an enthusiastic response from global fans; 'bAd', which adds listening enjoyment by playfully portraying the cheeky yet lovable attitude of a naive bAd boy with lyrics co-written by member Q; 'Slip Away', which creates a captivating mood by expressing the precarious atmosphere with a partner who teases oneself with tension; 'Re-Wind', which is impressive for its vibrant and unique groove drum beat and lovely lyrics co-written by member Eric; and 'They See Me Dream', an alternative pop song with an impressive texture of dynamic vocal harmonies that contrast with the muted guitar tones.
